I got an offer from Wells Fargo for a senior software engineer role in the consumer banking business. I am wondering how stable is this job from a layoff perspective. TC 190k
I know a lot of people in tech over there. Personally, I would never apply there but I hear it's quite stable.
Why never apply? And how much are they making. Is JPM better?
They won’t match this salary
What’s the TC offer?
Base caps at 144ish I believe. Most recent hires have said 10-20k bonus target but no more percentages. TC definitely wouldn't match.
No def more than that. NYC?
True, maybe a bit more but those are nc/tx/az numbers
Location?
SF
Location? And what's the base salary? What are your goals in life? If it's to have a balanced life, have a life and raise family , then yes, take it up. But if you want to keep growing your career, don't take it up. You'd probably not like.
It’s in San Francisco. Base is around 170k. I am looking for stability and wlb. There’s good WLB at my current job but layoffs yearly or even every 6 months. It’s going to get worse for the coming recession
A layoffs is coming. Some teams got hiring freeze.
Are there periodic layoffs and what criteria they use for layoffs
