In deals like this, there is a certain amount of customer attrition that is planned for. The oncalls can probably do nothing and they’ll still be within the plan.

Do employees get their shares vested or do they just get wiped out?
Customers should laid off the company, if they do with their employees, what are they going to do with their users, gauge and increase prices?
Not if company laid off the users first
If a US company bought a European one and laid off all the employees the EU would love launching an investigation. But when their own does unethical things like this it's all silence.
