Is meta really worth the wait?
I had a second interview today with Uber. It was a panel consisting of future boss and someone making the exact role I applied for. The first interview was Friday and they made sure to ask to schedule the 2nd interview ASAP. I should hear back from them before Friday, as they told me they had 1 other person still in the loop. No hiring manager in the process and no official job posting, I’ve got approached on LinkedIn. Is this common at Uber? The interview is for a sales role, in the UberEats organization. Current TC: 130K YOE: 3 @uber #sales
Ad Sales?
I interviewed with Uber for business last week. Cut it off with the interviewer as I was shocked at how low the pay was
If you get the offer, before joining refer this thread on layoff and malpractices at Uber. https://us.teamblind.com/s/K5VKsShS
Probably under Ops if it’s sales. But that’s weird to not have a posting nor hiring manager. We have a lot of guardrails and training in place to guard against nepotism, unconscious bias, and so on. So there’s a lot process, and things shouldn’t fly under the radar Are you sure you were talking to actual Uber employees?
Yes, have met both on LinkedIn, both interacted with colleagues in their LinkedIn history. 100% they work for Uber. (Also had Uber emails, even tho that can be easily faked) That’s why I’m a little skeptic.
