I have a full size really nice laundry room in the finished basement of my 3 level home (2 levels plus basement). This room has full size machines, utility sink, window, folding station, storage etc. Previous owners also added a small laundry closet on the second floor with compact size stackable machines. This is convenient because I use my second floor machines often and only lug my laundry down 2 floors when I want to wash bulky items in my full size machines downstairs (about once a month). My primary bath upstairs is small and I’m wanting to remodel. I could have it expanded and lose the adjoining laundry closet to have a bigger primary bathroom. But this means I lose the convenience of having an upstairs laundry. After trying to exclusively use my downstairs machines for a month, I think im fine with that. However, I plan to sell the house in about 2-5 years. Would this be a deal breaker for buyers? I’m sure the upstairs laundry closet isn’t original to the house.
Who the hell has two laundry rooms in the Bay Area? Who cares if you lose a little money. Can we use our heads
I’m not in the Bay Area and I don’t think 3 level homes are common there
Yes expand the bathroom, that's way more utility than having a second laundry facility unless you are sharing the house with a bunch of housemates.
