1.5 years of interviewing Tier 1/2/3 companies. Atleast 50+ HR screenings telling me 100k base salary was impossible. Rejection after rejection. Endured 31+ final interviews! My final TC at Amex was 87k after a promotion too. Laughable! 3yoe in Products/Data Analyics (Florida) ——-2019 Amex - 81k TC——- FINAL Interviews - Wayfair , Facebook , NextEra Energy , Wix , Chewy , Citrix , RingCentral , Vutlr , Norwegian Cruise Lines , Circle , Microsoft , REEF , Deloitte , RBI , Salesforce , Citi , BoxyCharm , Tipico , EisnerAmper , VMWare , Favor , Doordash , Tanium , WeWork , Circle , REEF , Expedia , UKG , Citrix , RBI , Norwegian Cruise Lines ——-OFFER - Twilio - 130k TC ——- Apple & Google interviews in progress 🤟🏻 #tech Proof that there is no such thing as insanity in the TC chase. Learn new tools on your own, groom your interview skills, and never give up. Edit: First, thank you all! I got this job from a referral here and learned so much about being competitive pay & skill wise. My TC is for Florida so it’s competitive. Also any repeated companies were different roles! Also, zero offers! Lastly, my main lesson learned - PREP!!! Twilio was the one I studied most for. Took the time to understand the values. Examples for every question they could ask “tell me a time”, “conflicting timelines” ect…. There is never too much prep if the role or company mission means enough to you!!
This is so sad
This comment is sadder. I’m happy af idk about u tho
What’s sad? U not getting half of them?
Congrats!
Final interviews means no offer? Any offer besides Twilio?
Zero offers! Crazy. Either I had the worst luck ever from a competition perspective or my passion wasn’t showing through the virtual interviews. I kept learning….
Your resume must be overestimating your capability.. that’s crazy to hear 31 final rounds and just 1 final offer.. crazy to even think you got so many calls. Congrats ..
Don’t lose hope mate. Interview relentlessly. Blind/LinkedIn referral networking is what got me close to really good ones many times. 100% that’s the route. NETWORK!
Doesn't Nvidia provide opportunity for internal mobility?
😳😳😳
Congrats i cant get past phone screen :/
What roles are you looking for?
PM/PgM, so far failed twice at amazon and fannie mae phone screens. Google is next, not feeling confident
Location?
Florida 😎 updated post
What role did you interview at salesforce for?
Idk I had like 3 different roles. Analyst to Sr analyst but final stages was in Sr Analyst Renewals
What band level are you at amex? The only people on the product side I've worked with are product owners, and I always thought they were paid comparable to SWEs. 87k TC sounds really low. That's like 60k base.
Dude I’m a product owner without B35 and was forced into this shit. 79,600$ base salary as a PO for 3 scrum teams of 30 engineers. Amex is scum. ~8k bonus…. I did get 2s on my ratings so maybe 12k next year but I don’t count on it LOL. Also I exclude 401k and health from TC.
I always count the 401k since 6% match is pretty solid. But yeah I'm glad you got something better. 79k base is terrible.
Good job not giving up! How did you manage to do so many onsites while working?
Thanks, was relentless thanks to everyone here on Blind. I actually got this job from a Blind referral. You guys are great!!!!! ALL virtual. I just made my job second at one point. It was extremely stressful. Most of that list was the past 6 months too.
What location is this offer for ?
