Has anyone heard of this asset management firm/hedge fund and could share info about compensation, engineering culture, etc.? Got contacted by a third party recruiter i’ve been working with about openings there but haven’t been able to find much info online. Familiar with most of the other quant hedge funds/prop shops but this one seems to be on the newer side - any idea if this is a good/bad place to work as a SWE and what I could expect TC to be? 1 YOE TC ~135k
I googled it, it's a legit firm, with recent investments in Airbnb, sports, etc. They look more like a PE, not a hedge/HFT fund or prop shop. So I think their SWEs would have very different focus.
@jDzG01: I also got approached by a headhunter about Sixth Street for a role in Austin TX last week. How was the interview process?
Pls DM me, did you take up the role?
Never heard of them tbh. But after a little look around google they look pretty legit. Tiny AUM, but they’ve made some solid investments from what I saw (granted I’m an eng lol). Honestly if you’re looking for SWE roles in the asset management industry go with the newer guys—they’ll pay way more.
