Why go to Expedia, skip a stop and come to Uber directly

I had an *interesting* interview experience with Uber. I poured a lot of hours in the PM assignment and thought I made sure to articulate my approach well but in the jam session the interviewers did not seem interested in giving my recos a thought. It seemed they came to the jam session with certain pre-conceived solutions/features in mind which resulted in no bueno. That said i'm open to exploring a different team :-)

I’ve had the same experience as OP

Don’t go to Expedia. Trust me on this.

Why so?

Orgs are a mess and divided (for now), transformation projects being led poorly by non engaging leaders. The culture and employee energy that was built by Dara left with him, it’s a bumpy road ahead.

The hiring bar is low and you won’t be challenged by those around you. It’s a great place to work if you want to relax a bit and not worry about doing well at your job. Great place for people that like to just lay under the radar. But if you get bored easily, or like to own projects, then stay away.

Okay good to know, thanks for the insight. How's job security at Expedia?
