I just liquidated 3M Meta Stocks. Got lucky, liquidated Google and bought 600K Meta in 2022 at $100. What is the best way to park it in a fund or PE to get 250K in Dividend Income. I have been looking at Private Equity funds such as Nuveen/Carlyle/KKR etc. I don't care about the tax advantage way. I want to get 250K in Dividend Income so I can quit my job and still earn my base salary. We are DINK. #meta #dividendfinance TC : 1M
I’m lazy so not doing the math for you but take a look of jepi / jepq
They are super high risk, they sell options to generate that yield. Not going to do that.
What about schd / vym or other div etf ?
I don't think you need any advice 5% you can get from bank directly which is 150k. If you use a good index fund and keep watch on it on a weekly basis you are set for life. Wait until the election is done to see the market swing. Some people will not agree to this.:p
already own a home OP?
We own a home and no home can generate the income I am looking for.
True, congrats on catching the bottom there!
Buy CDs and you're there.
Clearly Math is not your strong suit. Unless you know of some killer CDs right now that beat the market rate for CDs by a few percentage points
JEPQ, BND and SCHD alongside generic VOO. Of course treasury and CDs to be added as fixed income in case stocks don’t do well.
JEPQ.. You can get ~ 23k this month
I would spread it across ET, Costco, RITM, KO, VTI, SCHD, target, EPD
You’re trying to generate >8% in dividends, that’s not going to come without big risk. You’re better off investing in indexes and selling as they grow.
What about Private Equity Funds that have a minimum threshold of $2M investment. These funds consistently generate 7% after management fees.
If you already know your answer, why are you asking?
Thats like 8.3 % yield. No safe options provide that dividend. But you can look into some oil and tobacco stocks. Bti, pm, MO. They are not risk free though.
Oil prices will probably go up in the short to medium term so investing in companies that can benefit from that could be a good option. Look for the ones that are increasing their dividends. MPLX is the best oil dividend stock I had but my cost basis is $17 and yielding 20% to my initial investment but I need to fill ScheduleK so it can be more work to do your taxes. BTI has tons of cash and doing shares buy back so it might keep the value of your stocks while paying %10 dividends.
