I am an Indian citizen currently residing in the USA on an H1B visa, and I have been here for nearly a decade. I completed my Master's degree in the US and have been employed here ever since. I am married and have a strong desire to return to India, particularly to live with or near my family in Rajasthan. However, I am uncertain about the salary landscape in India. I consider myself a competent developer, neither exceptionally outstanding nor below par. I am seeking information on where I can find details about salaries offered by Indian companies and their policies regarding remote work. I have already explored platforms like Glassdoor and LinkedIn, but they do not provide comprehensive information on salaries offered by companies. Tc: 250k Yoe: 10 #tech #advice
A lot has changed in the last 3 to 4 years. Try to get a transfer in Servicenow. With your experience, you can target 1cr+ package if you target Tier 1 product companies. But you should be flexible with location as most of the companies are now operating in a hybrid model. There are very few that offer a full remote.
Microsoft is 47 Lakh.
Pretty much nothing for remote work. But salaries can be 1Cr+ for senior roles in big tech. Have to be in respective cities
Take internal transfer
Senior and above pay 1-1.5cr, to compare with servicenow, think IC4-IC5. With 10+ yoe you're eligible and you'll easily get offers in that range.
Where should I check these stats? Leetcode compensation page says otherwise. Please advice
If you have a strong desire to move back start applying and you will know the salary ranges automatically. Rather than looking for information on the internet.
Buddy to give you a data point I live in Bangalore and my TV is 230K USD with 11 YOE. Your TC is on the lower side for US salaries. Moving to India is a big commitment, why not try to increaae TC in US itself and then make this comparison? With your YOE, 400K is easily achievable and then you can see that TC is double.
You the champ! However, irrelevant answer.
Mention the YOE
10 years
Yeah. But where do I check the salaries these companies and other mediocre companies offer?
