Does Udacity nano-degree equal to an actual degree and can i put it on resume as an education? Also is that worth to enroll for machine-learning and data science?
Not at all. 1. it's more expensive wrt it's counter parts like coursera. You can buy complete category of udemy for price of 1 nanodegree 2. More and more knowledge is now available for free on internet. For doubt resolutions and learning 3. No one sees it as a complete degree. It does show you are willing to learn something and working hard but so does every other degree. I've used all 4 major moocs and udacity is pretty must last on that list. others might have different opinions, it's ok
i have 3 of those, but my previous employer paid for all, if i had to pay myself, i’d probably not do that, extremely overpriced for what it is
I have taken a few courses from Udacity and while they can teach you the basics, they are severely overpriced. The machine learning nanodegree was $1000 when I took it and I learned about as much from other free online sources.
Not worth it. Enroll in a university if you are serious about learning. Udacity caters to masses and keep their curriculum simple.
