The plan is to buy olive trees land and make my oil. Sell it for profit. Investment will be in north Africa/ Italy and maybe Spain. Ultimately I want to start an investment fund that specialize in olive trees and the idea is to raise capital for large scale investment. Who did something similar? People I know are getting 25%+ return from it, mainly from land appreciation and tax advantages
Why olives?
Have you seen prices for olive oil recently? This was coming sooner or later.
Same for cacao
Just don’t make it some fake bullshit like most of the olive oil out there.
Most countries will not allow foreigners to buy agricultural/farm land
Buy tulip bulbs
I'd be skeptical of that 25% return. What are the risks? Barriers to entry?
Until the Israelis come and cut or burn your olive trees down.
My wife’s cousin has done this in Albania, acquiring land and building a small olive oil business in the coastal land north of Sarande. It seems profitable as they have now purchased a home in Sarande, although it’s a smaller operation and focused on Europe sales market. Best of luck.
Sounds like a terrible idea, very sceptical of 25+% return, are the also investing all their time and do manual work?
