Have an interview with them. Are they good? Datadog, Splunk kicking their ass?
They look good. A lot of executives in the northwest have New Relic on their resume. Also, the inventor of the Wiki is from there.
Friend works there, a little over a year, loves it.
The company has good wlb however you guessed correct , the company is facing a lot of pressure from ddog , splunk and dynatrace . Their transition to cloud is ongoing and that will determine their success Stock has taken a beating in the last one year ,but if things fall into place you woll be getting in at a good time
I work at New Relic. I really love the work culture here, and everyone I work with has been awesome. You won’t regret working here from that POV. I won’t lie though, I definitely have some concerns about competition and Wall Street perception.
How is pay structure in New relic? Bonus and refreshers for a senior engineer?
No pay bands. Senior I starts at 135k? Something like that. I didn’t see much in terms of refreshers. It took me until one foot was out the door for them to give me out of cycle RSUs. My situation might be different. But I was happy to get out.
Met people from the new relic team at a tech conference. Humble and came across genuine. Heck in the tech world with full of mostly egotistical maniacs sometimes its nice to have just nice people for once. I am rooting for New relic , maybe splunk will buy them. Portland has nice weirdos it seems . I mean this in a positive way
New Relic has a good reputation. A friends hubby is a tech lead there and he loves it.
