I need to travel abroad but need my corporate laptop and phone to be connecting from a specific country. Since my laptop is controlled by IT, I can't download a VPN and need a solution at the router level. My corporate laptop also uses the corporate VPN to connect to internal systems, so there would essentially be one VPN on top of another. Has anyone found a viable solution with minimal risk? Ideally it would be a wireless router with built in VPN that works internationally, but open to hearing any other solutions you may have used in the past. TC 320
Get a router that supports OpenVPN and configure a VPN at the router level then connect to corporate VPN from your laptop. I use the Asus AC66U B1 and it works perfectly. If by any chance this country’s name starts with an E, then you need to configure the VPN to be on TCP 443 because TCP 1184 and UDP are blocked.
thanks. can that router connect to wireless networks? to mobile data? or has to be thru cable?
