Recently got offer from hubspot. I haven't negotiated yet, but this offer currently is only ~35k higher than my current comp. Not sure if it's worth moving for. How is the culture at hubspot? It feels like they have hired a lot of engineers lately. Can someone from there comment on it? Is it worth jumping to? #offer #tech
That's a good offer
In terms of the offer, there should be room to increase on RSUs. In terms of company, I still think it’s a great place to work. Lots of interesting technical challenges to solve.
That's pretty much the same offer I got last year. They wouldn't budge
What team?
Ah I think I interviewed you, congrats on an offer. The base is about 50ile in staff range so you would have decent room to grow base. Not sure how topped out you felt in your current role. Theres a promotion you can work towards for Principal as well.
You can at least get a sign on of 20-25k easily. HubSpot issues a very standard offer to everyone. The recruiter tries to tell you how it’s the top of band or something.
Is Tech Lead II is same as staff in Hubspot?
TL 1 = Senior 1 TL 2 = Senior 2
aren't the rsus very low for staff?

Read news that Google is interested in acquiring hubspot
What's the downside in joining if that happens?
Redundancy so layoffs unless operated as a separate entity
