Got offered a Senior Staff PM role at London. Base: 120k GBP Bonus: 10% RSUs: none; recruiter said only directors and above get stocks (unsure if it’s true) TC: 132k GBP Current TC: slightly higher at 145k GBP (160k EUR) but at a tier 3/ mid size company at similar level; not at Meta anymore. Level is one below Director (management track) or Principal (IC track). Any reviews about the company, career progression and feedback on the TC? #tech #product #tc #productmanagement #warnerbros #wbd #pm #london #hbo
RSU is offered at all levels but extremely rare. For example, I am part of a larger team. I have 8 direct reports. In total from the GVP level down, there are 72 people including managers and directors. I was the only manager to get RSU this year. I had one on my team get them and there were 4 others. Total was 5 people. For management, it is done on a rotating basis. I will not get it next year. Manager B will get it followed by C and so on. If I am still here in 5 years I will get it again. For subordinates, it was done as a way to show appreciation for high performers.
Thanks! This is certainly helpful.
Bonus for Sr Staff is around 20%
Really? Are you 100% sure, because that would change the TC significantly.
Can’t confirm for UK. But US, yes. Have a look at Levels FYI, the last two Staff (not even Sr Staff) PM have bonus at 20%. This is also the case for the most recent Staff TPM, SWE Sr Manger (same 7A level as Sr Staff) As bonus percentage is directly related to salary, which is already market adjusted, I can’t imagine it should have a regional difference. That said, I can see on Levels there was a Sr Staff PM in the U.K that had a pretty much identical offer at the end of last year, so it looks pretty aligned to what WBD has offered in the past. I guess does the offer appear low for the UK? I doubt the offer is at the top of the boundary so opportunity to negotiate something. Maybe say you can see online that for this level the bonus is at 20%, but you’re super excited for the opportunity and you’d sign the contract by EOD Monday if they can offer 15%?
Any luck OP. Did you accept the current offer or negotiate up?
TC looks quite low for Sr Staff How do you survive in UK? Is it cheaper to live?
Unfortunately, UK market pays significantly lesser compared to the US, and is on par (in fact more expensive with taxes) compared to NYC and the Bay area.
