Any East Asians (chinese, taiwanese) take this test and find interesting results? I am thinking of taking it, but I am expecting 100% Chinese. If that’s the case, it’s no fun and I don’t want to take it lol. Probing online to see if anyone from a traditionally homogenous society has any interesting results... told my chinese mom that the 23andme results said she had an ancestor 4-6 generations ago that was vietnamese and she just said “no”
It's not just for your ethnic background. More interestingly, it tells you shit about any potential health issues you may be higher risk for. It also tells you if you can or cannot smell asparagus when you take a piss. (Some people can, some cannot)
Sometimes ignorance is bliss. I’d rather not know that I might have a debilitating disease and should expect to die by the time I’m 50. LOL, but you make a good point and this is just the anxiety in me speaking.
