Privileged would be less of a word for such people but these are the people who are responsible as the most irresponsible techies in US nowadays. Call them boomerangs or capital abusers without any contribution whatsoever, the primary motivation how these people are surviving is temporary licking of fellow colleagues (they know they need to do it only for few years). Absence or fake leadership all across how these oversmarts speak and then the fakeness with which they influence and uses emotions to their advantage is one of the traits( having worked in Microsoft, you come to know few of these folks as well). Hope, tech leadership/senior level hiring improves from such cringe egotistical and fakeness and hires real people with the ability to do something instead of complaining across every company these fckrs go to (obviously nvr during speaking internally but only when hopping u will know such cringe). (no i'm not him, i'm still at google) what he says about ex-amazon googlers missing (the good parts of) amazon is true and it's a very common sentiment shared by the majority of people i know who walked this path. carlos' contributions to amazon are huge - he wrote shit that most amazon SWEs have used at some point (TPSGenerator and initial parts of Hydra, both major components of how amazon does integration testing in CI/CD pipelines). you're full of shit.

Okay Google. But just because someone is so brilliant (with the definition of million lines of code) allows them to be so cringy and lack the ability to drive positive impact across different orgs. If you have become part of that cult brother, you assumably have also become part of the tech ecosystem that will drive things to rubble's with your arrogance. Unfortunately your past coding or design success does not make that feature immune.
