There's a lot of frustrated users complaining online for years about the mysterious "other" storage eating up iPhone space so this must be a well known issue at Apple. Internally is this one of those thing that Apple purposely do / ignore to get ppl to upgrade devices? They've done similar tactics in the past purposely slowing down old devices via software and have lost law suits over it so this seems onbrand at this point. #apple #iphone #scam #storage
Backup + System wipe + restore from backup seems to solve this for anyone that has this problem currently
Yeah solved this by backing up and restoring my phone. And then the 46 GB of other system storage just magically disappear. I wouldn’t be surprised if this comes out as a scandal that Apple is logging all the shit you do and send that to a collection server.
You poor people with 64GB storage iPhones. The $200 extra for highest storage is worth it. Anyway, I still expect Apple to explain the fkn ‘Other’ bs they are doing with you. If getting it back is as easy as people above are saying, that’s a messed up shit from APPL.
Paying for space that you don’t use...somehow you call that worth it
😉
My girlfriend had this problem, it took two factory resets for the phone to get the space back. It would be interesting to examine the filesystem
