3rd Grad Books? Moving to the US

I am moving to the US in 2-3 months and my kids are in 3rd grade now. I am looking to get the 3rd grade books from now, so my kids can get familiar with them before they got enrolled. Any suggestions from where to get them?

The books your kids use in school will depend on the school district. There is no national list of third-grade books.

Oh thank you, but how do you compare it with Cambridge level?

Where are you moving from? Do your kids speak English? Where will you be moving to?

My kids are native English speakers. We are moving to Ohio Columbus.

Then I recommend sending your kids to a private school. You can contact the schools and get the materials.

Look up Scholastic reading levels. You will find many books for the appropriate reading levels. If English is not their main language, you may want to learn about TOEFL. Not sure, no experience with it but it sounds relevant for that scenario.

I moved from Venezuela to the US in the 4th grade. Public school in the US is a joke. I was in a good school, in the 2nd ranked state. It was far easier with less expectations than before. Basically, wherever you're from get the standards from your schools and have your kids meet that.
