New Grad, Navigating the Job Search Journey

Hey everyone As a May 2023 computer science graduate, I wanted to provide an update on my job search journey, one marked by resilience, determination, and continuous self-improvement. Over the past eight months, I've diligently applied to over 3000 jobs, averaging 20-30 applications daily. Despite facing numerous rejections and experiencing the disappointment of being ghosted after interviews, I've remained committed to enhancing my skills. I've invested time in building projects, exploring new technologies, and delving into complex concepts such as distributed systems and microservices. Admittedly, there were moments when the process took a toll on my hope and vision. Like many fellow job seekers, I found myself in desperate situations. However, in those challenging times, I discovered the strength to motivate myself, recognizing that this journey is about personal growth. I've learned to handle rejections, failures, and desperation, emerging stronger after each setback. While part of me feels fatigued by the prolonged search, another part is grateful for the invaluable lessons this experience has taught me.
