Question about women in their 30’s?
I have an upcoming interview with mapbox in the data space. Any thoughts how the company is performing recently? How’s the work culture as I am hearing mixed reviews ?
You need to think outside the box.
Ok and how about any coding exercises? Do you think leetcode will help
Is this in dc?
This is in SF. Do you have any insight into company culture or how the company is doing ?
Run away as quickly as possible. The company and the leaders are terrible.
What makes you say that?
Read the Glassdoor reviews and check the CEO rating
Yeah I’d say the same. Don’t buy the hype and don’t bother wasting time.
So how did the interview go?
I would say I wasted my valuable time by traveling onsite to San Francisco and was offered a junior position even after acing the interview . The HR clearly mentioned that I could be a fit for several senior positions and there is a clear disconnect between management and HR team
Yep, there is practically no one who should and wants to join Mapbox. The CEO is a knee jerk so is their SrVO engineering. No respect for talent just say yes yes and yes. They have the most intellectually poor and insecure managers and will never let you grow. They are not even getting good enough resume for them to be hiring. So, save your time this is just 3% of the truth behind that shady and pathetic company the other 97% is much more horrific.
Be thankful you only wasted time interviewing. Unfortunately I wasn't as lucky and wasted years off my life working in that toxic and hostile environment. You are correct there is a clear disconnect between management and the rest of the org. Good luck with interviewing and please know you absolutely will end up somewhere better for you than this hellhole.
Could not agree more. Sr Vp of engineering is horrible and he runs the show - sales, engineering, product, finance. His arrogant incompetence knows no boundaries which says a lot about why the company is doing so poorly. Everyone is so beaten down they don’t bother to correct anything he says. I think they are spending their energy trying to get out. Thank god I’m not longer there.
Is this Shyam Sundar or his boss ?
Had an interview with them. DM me
@xj13hz, dm’ed you.
