Summary: Started the prep in April and interviewed 8 companies in October. The companies include Amazon, Apple, Uber, Pinterest, Doordash, Square, Google, Amplitude. Got 4 offers and failed the others. Offers: Apple: L4, 430k Amazon: L6, 565k (Accepted) Uber: L5a, 480k first year front loaded. Google: L5, 425k first year front loaded. My background: None FAANG, 9 years, backend. How I prepared Time management: Use Notion to plan well for each week and each day. I always like to list things that I want to finish each day, e.g. # leetcode questions to finish and system design study. Most of the time I cannot finish all my todos but that is ok. Personally, I find that listing things out always helps me manage my time better. Coding: Leetcode subscription is a must. I studied different strategies first because I had a really painful experience in my previous attempts. I pick the one to go through questions by categories like arrays, stack, dfs, bfs, dp, etc. For each category, start with the most frequent questions. After solving each question, always check the discussion board to see if there is a better solution. If so, try to repeat it myself after. If I stuck on a question for 20 minutes without any clue, I always checked the discussion board to find the solution. Before each company’s interview, I will go through the company’s most frequently asked questions in 6 months again as well as leetcode’s “Interview Experience” discussion: https://leetcode.com/discuss/interview-experience?currentPage=1&orderBy=hot&query= System Design: I spent quite some time on DDIA. For topics that were hard to understand, I always searched online to learn more about it. After DDIA, I followed https://github.com/madd86/awesome-system-design to tackle different areas. The next step was to do mock interviews with myself. I maintained a pace of finding 2 system design questions and answering them each week. I found that mock interviews with others helped me the most. I tried a few platforms, free peer-to-peer interviews on discord(https://discord.gg/cscareers, https://discord.gg/cscareerhub) and pramp.com, paid ones on interviewing.io and meetapro.com. Although peer to peer interviews can be helpful, paid mock interviews are totally worth it and worked the best. I learned a lot from the feedback provided by experienced interviewers. Pramp also has paid mock interviewers, but it is hard to tell whether the interviewers can do system design or not. Both interviewing.io and meetapro.com have some high quality interviewers. I booked a few paid sessions from both. meetapro seems to be a new platform, but the setup is more friendly and transparent. I am able to message the interviewers directly to find good matches. Behavior: I always struggled with certain behavior questions like what happens when a senior team member disagrees with you about your design. I did a mock interview session for Amazon which was very helpful. Hopefully, you can find helpful information in this post. DM me if you have any questions. Keep grinding! #interview #interviewprep #offers #amazon #google #apple #uber
Nice! But is Apple leveling just one lower than the rest?

location ? how many rounds of system design for L6 ?
How did you manage being consistent/disciplined in solving LC everyday? I always give up after few days
It is tough. It takes a while to get used to it. Start with easy questions. Focus on one category after the other.
That’s good money, congrats my man
Can you share uber split?
Something like 192k + bonus 30k + 685k + 60k/2 . First-year stock is 35%
Congrats! Those are great numbers! Including sign-on?
Yes, Amazon likes to use big sign on for the first 2 years due to their vesting schedule
Recruiters from Google / Amazon and a bunch of start ups reach out to me for the last few weeks. 4 YoE
