400k Google vs 80k Founder
Currently making 400k as 5yoe at Google Planning on leaving to found my own startup. Salary will be 80k in SF What is prestigious
You would make millions or probably billions in the time ahead if your company makes some good product or a service whereas if you continue doing job, probably your life style would be good and you may buy a million dollar home in another 3-4 years.
Yeah but this is totally ignoring probabilities
s/would/could/g Considering likelihood with money currently being expensive it would only make sense with decent non-material comp (jump in responsibilities/experience as a founder), but these are hard to assess
If your startup becomes successful, then prestigious
I would bet $100k on it not being successful.
If you’re in it for “prestige” you shouldn’t be a founder
just do both until your start up takes off
