Grace Hopper Bigotry
I can’t believe how transphobic some of the the people at Grace Hopper were. It’s so bigoted to try to exclude the genderfluid POC who attended just because they identified as female or nonbinary then as male at different points in time. We need more stunning and brave folx like them to show that genderfluid people belong in all spaces and to deplatform those awful cisgender TERFs who wanted to exclude them. We as an industry must demonstrate that there is no place for this sort of hate and bigotry!

We need decisive people. If you can’t even pick what gender what you want to be, how can I trust you to pick between an abstract class and an interface?
Or even better, people can’t pick their gender unless they have gender dysphoria or are intersex.
Wow. Gender fluid as in if there’s an opportunity for women then they can identify as women and hop on that opportunity? What next, people can be race fluid!? Can people start identifying as black when the reparations starts?!
Largely speaking something such as race is not very well defined. I've met white folks who look Latino I've met black folk who look white, and Asian dudes who have a look that gives a "don't fuck with me" mexican vibe: you know with the man-bun and the sunglasses 😆. I personally have just started checking random boxes on race questions because I personally don't identify with any race / ethnicity. I am my own person, not my skin color.
Good post but you missed an opportunity to say "voices and bodies" instead of "people" which would have given you full marks.
