I have a cousin with an offer from Transferwise out of Austin and she’d like to know more about the culture and any reviews of current or former employees. Can anyone give an opinion? Blind reviews don’t seem so hot, but what do I know? Her stats: YOE: 8, TC: $350k (idk the split), SWE #transferwise #wise
Wise pays $350k in Austin? Sr or staff?
I’m assuming staff - but I do not know
I strongly do not recommend it. Management in Austin is terrible. Your cousin could be fired in 2 weeks if she would not perform as a manager expected.
Toxic culture… you will get the feel when you are in your interview process..
Could you please share the interview experience
I have recently joined Wise and I can confirm that it is NOT TRUE true in terms of toxic culture. Its pretty fast and expectations are laid on the table for sure. An Exciting work env with good team dynamics. WLB is pretty decent and I felt they live by what they say whether its transparency or it be keeping the customers first. Team is great and there are lot of exciting projects from domain and tech stand point.
