I have a big family and I am considering moving in rent (a house) in Mercer Island for various reasons. Could anyone suggest how safe the neighborhood is? I am very terrified of squatters and/or burglary. The house is far away from the main highway. How do I protect myself? How does a security system work and which one should I install? 270
What makes one house safer than the other? My house is kinda behind the other and kinda hard to see from the street
Anything on the Eastside is very safe. The only thing you run the risk of by living there is dying of boredom.
Not with 2 kids!
Very safe, you need to worry about discrimination if you’re not white
White, but not American or “core” European
You’ll be fine.
Dude Mercer Island is maybe the safest neighborhood in all of Seattle (not exaggerating). Just lock your doors and get a Ring sign for the front lawn.
My house has a driveway up the hill which is in front of the other houses. Does it make me even safer?
Who needs a fancy security system when you can get this for your yard for only $20?
You have to be careful. Some of the residents there have houses worth only $2 million instead of $4 million.
There is a Mercer island mafia which runs most of the island. You’ll have to pay protection money to live there
I am pretty sure this is sarcasm. I am autistic so not sure
