I have an offer for a Director of Partnerships from Huawei (non-tech) role based in Bay Area. Huawei has sketchy reviews here and Glassdoor so I think I know what I am getting my self into but can anyone from similar industries/companies comment on the offer below. Base: 200k Sign on: 60k Yr 1 and Yr 2 retention undetermined right now. Level 18 whatever that means YOE 12. Current TC 240K but at a sinking company. #google #htc #tmobile
200k base for a director in San Fran seems low.
Working at the airport ? SFO ?
Changed to bay area for you
Do you have a chance to continue looking?
A chance to work at what will arguably be the most dominant and most important company of our future? Yes of course! Take the offer!
Level 18 for YOE 12 is high, it’s usually lv 16 for engineers with the same experience.
Interesting. Thanks for your insight. Any feedback on Huawei US team, culture, and perks/benefits? Thanks again
Sorry, totally cut off with the US company. Not even a phone call allowed.
I do not think it is a good chance to take the offer in Huawei U.S. for politics reason. Also Huawei has the typical Chinese culture which normally there is no work and life balance.
Interesting. I am negotiating an offer in EU. HR business partner explained me that Chinese employees in EU have to work 6 days per week (like in China), but this is not requested to EU employees. Do you have any other evidence of very though WLB?
Do you mind sharing the offer and level?
Did you end up taking it?
Can somebody refer me to Huawei?

Didn't they get banned once in US already and trying to separate from Google play store? Not looking good in as of now. People In US don't trust Chinese junk/software much...
