Any one have thoughts / experiences with this computer vision startup? I am interested in their SF branch.
CEO is an intelligent guy. I think the competition is pretty though in computer vision. If Clarifai can differentiate itself, big tech might acquire them. I donāt believe there is chance for IPO. It is a nice boutique AI company. My observations were from 2 years ago.
That place is a revolving door. Albeit, I worked in the NY office for 5 months before jumping ship, so I can't speak for SF. The CEO was smart but he lacked any empathy as a human being, and definitely isn't fit to run a company. Just check out the Glassdoor reviews. Those are honestly a glimpse into the company. My time there has made me never wanna go back to startup life.
I went to their SF branch a while back. Not sure if this is normal but they literally had like one room in Galvanize. And they need to differentiate themselves as well... both people I knew there left within a year or so
Thatās not good to hear. How long was this ago?
December of last year lmao
I was interviewed there about 2 years ago. They were nice but I ended up not going because I just did not see its future.
Shit company. Shittier CEO.
Can you elaborate? I am surprised that everyone is saying the same here
They were desperately trying to sell the company (running out of money) until they secured the last funding round at the 11th hour. They donāt have a good business model nor culture nor strategic vision. CEO is a grade-A narcissist.
Sounds bad. Their product is beautiful though.
Do you guys have any insights about the status of the company? Are they doing well? Did the culture improve?
runnnnnn
Does OP go to Clarifai eventually? And how is it and is the technology finding market product fit?
