GitHub lays off 10% and goes fully remote Is LinkedIn next? I have seen lot of mediocre people (according to their colleagues) getting hired at Linkedin With weird website and cringe stuff, they might actually do great and don’t do layoffs
So jealous of GitHub going fully remote…to me that would be like winning a million dollars
It’s always been full remote, but they’re closing the optional offices.
There are many ways orgs within Microsoft that are optionally fully remote. They do adjust your salary to the state you reside in if you move away. I prefer going to the office 3 times a week to see people. Have become much closer to my manager and skip. Pretty sure I’m getting assigned the new AI integration project just because I’m top of mind. So hybrid work has its perks, I wouldn’t personally chose fully remote if you still want career progression.

Does anyone regret leaving a fully remote job for a higher TC and going back to office?
