Anyone else think Meg's email is inappropriate? The fact that HPE is asking for and using employee donations to lobby government regulations is a sure sign that the company can't compete in the free market without the government's help. Foxconn is coming to the US, which is what the border tax is supposed to encourage--don't pay the tax, invest in American jobs! She's obviously more interested in politics and not the domination of this market.
That's the point--American companies should buy from American supply chains. They aren't worried about repairing the global economy, they're worried about Americans. Hence Foxconn moving stateside.
I see your point(s). My issue is that it seems like you're advocating against the idea of using local American supply chains, even if they're cheaper. How does a cheaper supply chain impact global sales? Last I heard the brand carries the weight of a customer's opinion, not the supply chain, unless of course the quality is negatively impacted.
Aw, don't delete your posts, I was enjoying your pointless liberal arguments. Maybe when Foxconn and the other suppliers come stateside, HPE won't have a choice but to source locally. Americans get jobs, Foxconn gets tax breaks, and HPE saves money. It's a win all around.
