Has anyone invested with fundrise? What has been your experience? Did you get the advertised returns? I’ve been learning about real estate investing lately and while a portfolio of cash flow positive rental properties seems like a unique and great thing, it’s quite challenging to build it quickly evenings and weekends. Fundrise seems like a potential solution? How is it different than investing in REITs?
It’s just gives dividend not much appreciation . They have ipo online which you can buy still it’s 6 now.
It looks like they have 3 investment options - dividend, balanced, and appreciation. I’m guessing you don’t use them yourself?
I’ve been invested for a couple of years. No complaints this far. Dividends have been good and consistent. Only thing is to see what happens if I want to close my position. It’s not exactly liquid. Only time will tell if this was a good investment or not.
I just got into my second year. Started off small since I didn't know what to expect. As previously mentioned, closing an account is actually quite difficult, so getting liquid is tough.
No different then if you had invested in real estate yourself. Not exactly liquid.
What stock price now for fundrise , it was open at 5$
I’ve done consistently well with FundRise, nearly 10% returns...way better than my WealthSimple of other investing sites...but not as good as my 401k, which somehow has done 20%+ for past 3 years.
What’s your 401(k) allocation? Have you liquidated any of your fundrise holdings yet?
I was going to mess with my 401k allocation this year, but I decided to just ride it out. It didn’t seem like I had any magic formula though, it was 30% in small cap US and 40% in various foreign holdings...but I never looked at the underlying companies that were invested in. I have liquidated 20k of my FundRise account, just to make sure it was legit, I have put the money back since then, I using the account as a long term savings, since it’s doing way better than any saving interest rate. I’ve been tempted to try Robinhood as a place to keep extra money, but I have not yet tried that one.
Have you invested in ipo , is this good to invest now ?

Great discussions and a few question: 1. Did any one stop investing using Fundrise? Or has it continued to be good? 2. Is it ok invest in Fundrise being on a visa? Like an H1. 3. What tax forms do they provide and is there a clear way to call it as passive income on our returns?

Screw it. Don't care anymore. Let Israel take it. One state solution.
If I understand correctly it’s the same concept as REITs, just not as liquid.
