Anyone interviewing at Tanium or have interviewed with them before ? What is interview like ? Yoe : 4 Tc : 260
Same experience. Random reject.
They don’t want to hire. I don’t know why they are wasting candidates and their time. My case I also thought they seemed somewhat disinterested.Take your valuable skills elsewhere, they don’t deserve your time
Sorry you guys got rejected but I can confirm that @dhgsbak is wrong on the 'don't want to hire' bit
Didn't even go further than initial phone screens when they wanted to offer over 60% of my comp in multi year vesting RSUs.
What role? Engineers are heavy base. Average comp for seniors is a base around $270k with $120k equity vesting 25%/yr.
Bad experience overall. Interviewers flexed a lot and acted dick
100%
OP, reach out if you want to know about engineering interviews. I won’t give you the questions but I’ll let you know what the process is like.
Cant dm. Blind took away my dms. Thank you for the offer. You are very kind. But i think i will pass on tanium for now.
I finished all the interview rounds and talked numbers with the recruiter. She then emailed me asking for my current compensation numbers at where I work and when I declined, she wanted to sync up the following day over phone to tell me that I got rejected LOL. And then even went on to assure me that it wasn’t because I didn’t want to share my current pay information….I guess I dodged a bullet there if they’re acting like that
Avoid tanium … it was great several years ago…. Now highly political and no work recognition
I have recently. Atleast for the role I interviewed (Analytics) it seemed like the person would have to manage difficult internal customers. Which is fine. But the interview process was a bit weird, hiring manager seemed very uninviting and intimidating. My interview with higher ups (who would be my customers) was also good because I’ve been in the industry for long and I trust i have good people skills. My tech interview was with a junior analyst who seemed to be reading from google “top SQL interview questions. I answered everything , couple of very company tool specific questions I couldn’t name the feature very well because I’ve been using other tool, I still mentioned everything about the feature. The analyst seemed very confused with the advanced SQL answers I gave him and didn’t seem to recognize some of the SQL functions I was talking about. I got a random reject from them because I pushed them for an answer as I had two other offers. To me that was odd because I nailed all rounds. I didn’t like the fact that they were asking junior analysts to interview lead positions. The internal team equations also seemed a bit stressful to me so I suggest understand the team well. Overall very okay experience but it could change team to team
