Hi all. I'm currently an analytics consultant with IBM Watson health (the one that just got sold lol). I'm located in the Midwest and I applied for a telecommute senior consultant position with Optum and got this offer, which I'm underwhelmed by: Salary: 100k (I was told it was a grade 28 level) Bonus: up to 10 percent annual 23 days PTO 4.5 percent 401k match Stock purchases at reduced rate A little about me: YOE: a little shy of 5 years, mostly in analytics and health consulting Bachelor's in IOE, pursuing a master's I feel the salary is very low. Just wanted everyone's thoughts and to see what I should be aiming for, in this market. Thanks in advance and apologies in advance as this is my first post here

Hi @Optum, can you refer me for SDE roles? (will be graduating in summer 2022)
Watson Health is about to go into hyper growth mode under PE
It’s horrible. Ask for 135k base salary at the very least. The upper limit for grade 28 is 146k.
Hi @Optum, can you refer me for new grad SDE roles? (will be graduating in summer 2022)
Sure. DM me.
Recruiters at Optum have a habit of using much higher bonus percentages than are available. On average I’ve found it lower than I was told Stock purchase discount is 10% at the end of the 6 month period with an 18 months vesting period. If you time the market you can beat that discount. Company matches first 3% Matches 50 c for each dollar for 4-6% Annual pay rises are small 1-2% I’ve heard changing roles has a limit of 10% pay increase

Good luck on getting a new role, OP! I just left WH a few months ago and the grass is greener.
It's not horrible for a LCOL area. But there are a whole lot of remote jobs out there. I'd suggest keep trying. With ~5 yoe you can definitely get better offers.
