Hi all. I know I’m not the first to ask but I’m at the point where I have valid experience and have a lot of domain knowledge within music industry, production, etc. and I’m confident (and have been told by Spotify engineers on LinkedIn) that I’m a great fit. I have had a big medical bill I’ve been struggling to pay for years and I would like to have the opportunity to work with Spotify for a data engineering internship since I know FT is far more competitive, and it’s my last summer before graduating. I don’t mean to play the sob story game but I sense the only way to get these opportunities in the current market is to have connections, so I would really appreciate any help I can get. And the reality is I’m just in a crap situation rn. I can send my resume and have a chat if you feel it’s necessary. Thanks for your time :) #datascience #dataengineering #internship
Where did you find any openings in Spotify? I cant see any
I’m aware some who applied last year were hearing from recruiters
You'd do well at any other music company, there are many choices. Spotify suck at this point, forget about it.
Not sure how to break it to you but the entire Early Careers team got the boot in the last layoffs. It might be the end of internships at Spotify. Not only that, hiring has completely stopped over here. Best advice would be to look elsewhere but if you do have your heart set on Spotify, reach out to a recruiter on LinkedIn and see if they have any info
Thank you for the info, it’s way better to know that than to be left wondering what happened to them. I’ll try my luck with recruiters
@hexR35 When you say early careers team was booted in the last layoff, do you mean Jan 2023 or Dec 2023 ?
