as a Korean I'll just say korea's working hours is bad but what's arguably worse is respect you have to give for your managers or others "above" you. this translates to like having to drink with them after work, can't leave before your manager does (and that climbs up the chain), etc. I'm sure some countries are like this too but just giving korea's perspective since I'm aware of korea only
