So

So it’s important to listen to the scientists. They’ve been getting steamrolled by politicians and activists the last few years.

Pure garbage. Science and scientists are all fake. Launch a dozen coal factories. Right now! /s

All 500 scientists are fake? Did you look into their CVs? I mean I’m interested in your opinion but I’m surprised at how you came to that conclusion

The left dont care about solutions.. only using an unstable girl with NO education to raise taxes.

Microsoft baito Oct 8, 2019

So these scientists claim there is no emergency Which is fine cause I have seen the same hysteria in the past I would like to know who these scientists are?

From the letter: Natural as well as anthropogenic factors cause warming The geological archive reveals that Earth’s climate has varied as long as the planet has existed, with natural cold and warm phases. The Little Ice Age ended as recently as 1850. Therefore, it is no surprise that we now are expe- riencing a period of warming. Only very few peer-reviewed papers even go so far as to say that recent warming is chiefly anthropogenic.. Warming is far slower than predicted The world has warmed at less than half the originally-predicted rate, and at less than half the rate to be expected on the basis of net anthropogenic forcing and radiative imbalance. It tells us that we are far from understanding climate change. Climate policy relies on inadequate models Climate models have many shortcomings and are not remotely plausible as policy tools. Moreover, they most likely exaggerate the effect of greenhouse gases such as CO2. In addition, they ignore the fact that enriching the atmos- phere with CO2 is beneficial.

Umm the short form of the letter as described in the article: "don't destroy the economy following green policies that don't work". I think it generally makes sense. The article didn't mention how to achieve that.

zFCU53 OP Oct 8, 2019

The basic point is before we destroy our economy let’s refine our causal understanding of climate change. And we have plenty of time to do so considering that the observed warming is less than half of what our models would predict. We have plenty of time and we obviously don’t understand the complete dynamics.

These are the first prominent climate scientists that make some sense.

I wonder why that climate girl got so much air time yet our media never reported on this grassroots effort of 500 scientist to warn the UN? Anyone have any ideas?

Amazon Db8db4 Oct 8, 2019

I think it will forever remain a mystery 🤔

Hmm I wonder.....

We’re not going extinct in 10 years?! What?!

Capital One Rexxar Oct 8, 2019

If there’s 500 then none of them are prominent

New
zFCU53 OP Oct 8, 2019

Ha, some are more prominent than others. I give you that
