Trying to be as neutral as possible. Is there any difference between Hamas and George Washington's Continental Army during revolution war? Hamas are trying to kill Israeli occupants and Continental Army were trying to kill British colonists. Both of them use all means possible. #hamas #israel
Being tarred and feathered for being a loyalist is very different from being rocketed down indiscriminately... However what all the soldiers did in America to the natives really was horrible and at a large scale. Hamas hasn't had the capability to do those kinds of things at scale, so it's hard to know if their attitudes are comparable...
Hamas isn’t fighting for freedom. The land that they rule over (Gaza) does not promote freedom; it promotes the same ideals as the Islamic State did in Iraq and Syria. “Freedom” for Hamas means murdering all the Jews who live in Israel (or anywhere in the world, really). They are a terrorist group, and all the leftists who defend them should seriously ask themselves if they would be comfortable living under Hamas rules, especially for LGBTs and women.
It's better for world to have more Nobel laureates than more jihadis. Hamas = ISIS = Al Qaeda. All should be stopped.
Israelis = Zionists = Jews = NWO = space lasers that track your every move, kill you whenever they want, and start forest fires. All should be stopped.
Hamas targets civilians as a primary goal Continental army did not
A key difference is intentionally targeting civilians. To me that's when freedom fighting crosses a line. In my books Hamas is a terrorist org and Israel is an apartheid state.
The covered non-combat loyalists with boiling oil and hung them. The union burned Atlanta to the ground. WWI and WWII bombed population areas. Colonial militaries bombed civilians and burned down villages from Algeria to Vietnam. Israel bombs civilian areas and shoots unarmed protesters and kids who throw stones. Basically every conflict since the civil war on has targeted populations in war. Prior to that armies burned crops and salted the earth... but in the modern era armies have to cripple the workforce and control cities which means that war impacts civilians much more than in the past. Palestinians are simply firing rockets as far as they can go. It’s weird to argue that this is “terrorism” but targeting and bombing hospitals and schools and media buildings is not. I’m sure if Hamas had an Israeli level Air Force and military weaponry, they would rather aim for strategic infrastructure and military bases rather than just blindly shooting off rockets in the general direction of towns. Not that that would be less bloody, they’d be doing what the US does when they try and cripple a country.
If Israel wanted to bomb civilians it would have done that long ago. The population of Arabs would be 0 in that region. The fact that Al aqsa mosque still stands on Israel's holiest site shows how restrained they are.
