Everything seems great with this guy, except basic attraction. What to do? My friends say it’s no big deal
Thinking about leaving SAP and joining other companies as an SAP consultant but I am worried I won’t have the same level of resources I have at SAP to grow as a consultant because who knows SAP more than the people who work at SAP? Is my assumption right or do non SAP companies (eg. Apple, Deloitte, Google, PWC) have equally or better resources to learn than we do? Tc: 106 Yoe: 3 #sap#sap #tech
SAP is good if you want to stay behind the scenes designing blue sky scenarios all day long. I have worked with SAP platinum consultants in the past and they always come across as arrogant and not flexible. When you are in the trenches implementing SAP for a real company and real scenarios that’s when you really learn about business and how a computer system like SAP can be used to carry on business. Your skills from SAP will definitely help you in consulting because you know your way around the software, but you will need to develop another set of skills to survive in client service.
