I'm looking for a referral to a specific non-tech job at Intel. Is someone out there willing to make a referral? #intel #referral
Wow, good to know, thanks for the advice!!
You're welcome. Funny that just today I applied for a job at Microsoft =)) so I guess the employee movement is the opposite direction
I guess so, LOL. Things are not great here, to say the least! I say it's been my professional life's greatest deception. Stay away!!
DM for referral.
Dmed you. Thank you so much
Don’t come here.
i like my team, but I'd be pretty skeptical about moving to intel rn
Why, can you elaborate?
just an intern, so take it with a big grain of salt. just a lot of uncertainty right now with the new business model with the internal foundry, ambitious plan to become competitive again with 5 nodes in four years, also trying to compete with AI accelerators but again using a TSMC node. the stock is going to be volatile and a lot of orgs don't have hc. I'd be worried about getting hired, and then 6-8 months down the line, gelsinger needs to retrench and reduce HC. Last in, first out. It depends what you work on. I think if your work is strategically important to the new intel strategy, you are probably fine..but if not I'd be a bit worried. For instance, if I had a position on the GAUDI team I'd be stoked about that. Anywhere else feels iffy.
Man, Intel is doing constant layoffs and has one foot in the grave. Also the top management is clueless with respect to where to head to and what teams are doing. You really really dont want to come to Intel. And I'm not making a referal because I dont know you, but I can at least give you this piece of advice.
sad to say but its true. RIP GROVES. Things might work out just peachy...but the grave looks warm and inviting
