I needed to move from iCloud to some other cheap cloud to backup photos. I found below offering 5tb under $20. https://cdkeys.io/product/microsoft-office-365-professional-plus-for-5-devices-lifetime-pc-mac/ https://degitore.com/product/microsoft-office-365-professional-plus-for-5-devices-lifetime/
No
I got a few, often you just use something else. WinRar is replaced by 7zip, ulteaEdit is replaced by sublime etc
get trial account and try first. you would be using one drive with office 365. I am using Google one. reason i skipped office 365 was that it's search feature on photos was bad. i needed to upload lot of photos from my external drive. unfortunately there was no upload option in one drive, you can only sync. with Google one i can use Google drive or photos for device sync and upload.
Look at asus cloud
Amazon photos. Unlimited photos storage with prime. I crossed the 5T mark!
How reliable do you find Amazon Photos to be? I am always worried that some of the photo storage options aren't far better than sending to /dev/null

Yes. They just have to kill you to cut costs.
