Self transfer at Dubai Airport
I have a flight from an Indian city to Dubai (Indigo airlines) and self transfer with Emirates airlines via Dubai to a city in the US. Do I require a transit visa since I have to switch terminals and self transfer at DXB Airlines is not providing any info. The information on tripadvisor is conflicting.

You did self transfer (collect bags at DXB and return them back)?
No you don’t need. Have traveled to US laying over at Dubai couple of times changing terminals (though need not collect luggage) but you never go out of airport thus no visa required
Thanks. I have done that too several times. Just never had to collect the bags before at DXB
