Two Sigma referral

Hi all, My background: - recent math and statistics graduate with a BA and MSc degree from a top university (got highest possible grades in both degrees) - lacking quant specific work experience/ internships from my time at university. - done academic internships with university staff My preparation: - general finance knowledge and Akuna Capital options course - lots of brainteasers and LC - studied a wide range of machine learning and statistics techniques to a graduate level I am interested in the entry level quantitative research role at Two Sigma, but I feel a referral would be beneficial given my lack of quant/ finance internships. I hope my request is not taken the wrong way, I have seen similar posts on the site. I'm requesting a 'this person could be promising' type of referral, as opposed to 'I know and can stake my reputation on this person', if such a thing is possible. I am very happy to share my resume and answer any questions about my background. Thank you for your consideration. #twosigma #referral #entrylevel #grad #quant #quantresearch

I have a PhD and 5 years of experience and yet 2 Sigma won't interview me. Why do you feel you deserve it?

I didn't say I deserve anything. I don't think there's anything wrong with asking for help from others. If I get it - great; if not - that's also ok. Thanks for sharing your very impressive background, it looks like we won't be applying for the same roles so don't worry too much about me and best of luck!
