What is a typical hike in base salary from smts to lmts US location? Do we get stock refreshers during promotion? TC 280
Does SF have no refreshers at all? Even during promotion?
Maybe 10-15% of people a year will get a refresher, but it's not tied directly to promotions.
How strong are the refreshers? Are they as good as the initial onhire rsu?
The way salesforce does compa planning is they buy "market research" and set their "compa target 1.0" which they claim is about the 75th percentile in a geo for a job. Managers typically promote/offer/try to keep people between 0.9-1.1 of compa target with raises being really hard to get approvals for over the "ceiling" of 1.2 compa, so if you're high in the band you might not get much of a bump. on average, like 5-7% isn't unusual but i've seen it as low as 2% for someone who negotiated a high SMTS salary coming in. As for stock, they're not related, at least where I'm at. The VP gets a budget for stock along with raises/bonus guidance and they'll split it up based off of management decision, but it's not tied to the promotion. Anecdotally I've seen more stock go to recently promoted than not, but also even 5 years ago, there's just not even close to nearly enough stock to keep the whole team vesting.
The problem with comp ratio is it doesn’t include RSUs, where Salesforce sucks!
With that high of a TC for SMTS, most likely you will get 2% max for a promotion and 0% increase for bonus percentage (smts and lmts bonus are 15%). So don’t sweat.
280 for Smts is not common?
Hahahahaha of course NOT!!!!!!! People TC are around 230
No refreshers during promotion. Hike is around 5-10% for most people.
Minimum is 5% hike on base in USA?
For most people.
