below FAANG and uber/airbnb/lyft/dropbox. I’d say within same tier as robinhood/stripe/opendoor. pretty good startup
Great Company, just unlikely that they’ll ever IPO
Why would you say that?
Ad revenue is on track and increasing
Thank you all!
In terms of pedigree I’d say it’s >= FAANG. Most people here got offers from anywhere and could go anywhere. TC is about the same, but most people believe equity is gunna be highly rewarded. I personally took them over FB. Most people on my team left Google, Airbnb, etc. Also a lot of ex-Jane Street types.
Most of the people on Blind are mid career Indians, not 23 year old USACO ICPC kids from Harvard, MIT (Quora eng crowd). They care about things like liquid total comp, wlb, promotion path, etc, not Silicon Valley street cred.
What do you mean by Silicon Valley street cred? Your description may fit a lot of Blinders (60 - 70%) but not all

They pay similarly, although stock is still options, but they're on good track and will probably IPO in 2 years or so. Perks are good, breakfast, lunch, dinner, also their tech is strong and culture is good. Interviews are hard though. Kind of feels like tier 1 to me.
What kind of tech does Quora have?
They're a QA platform with user profiles, and use ML heavily for ranking, search, recommendation, etc. Revenue from ad. Similar tech to facebook but much smaller
