How bad is it in meta?
Thinking of joining Fundrise at the 10k level, want to hear review/advice from people who have been investing in it.
I use fundrise. Like Chillary said it doesn't grow much; but if you're looking to diversify, its not bad. So far I've gained about 8-10% YOY. If you need to take out money, it'll take them a quarter to payout.
Thanks amazon and intercom! Does the tiers matter? It says you get more exclusive investments in the 10 and 100k levels.... Any experience in whether they really give better returns?
I'm not sure; I started with the 10K tier as well; but didn't customize too much.
I’ve invested about $7k in Fundrise over last three years. I stopped investing in March this year. Main reason being that Fundrise is not liquid. They have a certain lockdown period and if you want to get your money before that period, you’d need to pay 3% or so. If liquidity matters to you, then it may not be a great option. But yeah, different tiers have different investments/properties. Also, Fundrise is not as volatile as other REITs, and as some others have mentioned on this thread, expect to make 8-10% a year. Good option for diversification.
Yields have dropped pretty substantially over the past 3 years. Even before the pandemic. Prior to the pandemic you were able to liquidate. Also not the case anymore. The updates and platform are pleasant. I joined because I wanted to invest in their internet ipo. For that reason it is ok for me. If you’re legitimately looking to invest, I’d say don’t bother and just find some traded reit
It’s a better investment to throw 10k in any FAANG stock. You’ll get better returns. You invest in real estate for the appreciation, tax write offs, AND yield. Fundrise only gives yield.
