What are some career growth opportunities and path for a scrum master. TC : 157K #tech #leadershipprinciples #careerbuilder #career
“Scrum master”, just think about how your job title sounds. Does it sound professional to you?
How about "Scrum Leader"
Sr Executive Vice President of Scrumming, is better, if you have a choice in the matter
Lmao these responses. OP just become a program manager for something or learn to code and become an EM eventually
I am not from tech background. I am not sure if I can learn coding. Is it possible to move into product management roles.
🗑️
None
Scrum masters went out back in 2015… All those agile coaches are looking for jobs…
Agile coaches still exist. Only software tech companies went through agile transformation. Agile principles apply to non software domains as well.
My goodness! They really do indoctrinate people. The effort you put into studying “agile” should be put into studying coding or just about any other profession really. “Agile” is a scam, like Scientology or essential oils. How you can make 157k I will never understand.
Massively overpaid already
Sorry for the shit being thrown your way OP. Scrum Master without a coding background is typically not received well. It’s a really important role when done well and can accelerate the team depending on the corporate structure. In a traditional structure SM is just a scheduler of meetings and keeper of process while still coding part time. In some structures they can almost work as a project manager/tech lead and clear obstacles and work Spikes. Super important to move the team forward and make life easier. But if you are a SM with no tech skills you don’t have a lot of career prospects outside of companies who have non technical scrum masters.
I use tools like Jira and ActiveCollab. Do they come under tech skills?
Really more project management skills. Nothing wrong with that there are ton of career prospects there. “Agile Coach” is also a possibility but I’d recommend the project management path.
Please please please invest yourself in a proper profession.
Can you please expand?
Do you code ?
