I have got the offer from ola for sde-1, compensation is really great from my current, Ola offer- 22lpa component breakup has not been discussed yet but assume atleast 18lpa as fixed. Could be multiple tech and would depend on project to project - react, java (springboot, dropwizard), python Current- 12lpa - fixed Current company is great in terms of people and work culture, position here is of data engineer basically working on ETL jobs, spark - java, hive , impala on all these tech. I am a fresher and learning would be immense in both for me. But heard very badly about the toxic culture, bad wlb , job insecurity about ola. I'm thinking to pass the offer but would like to hear the opinion. #software #engineering #swe #ola
If you're a fresher, take the offer. Everything you heard may be true but unless you have another offer, you should think only about what benefit it will bring to your career. Ola does carry a lot of weight on your profile and work can be good.
Thanks for your opinion, the thing I have already joined a company as mentioned and current fixed is 12Lpa and culture is great here as well as learning. Also I have another offer from Byjus and for that the joining is in Jan 2024. Ctc of Byjus is same as ola. Actually ola matched the offer as I already had from byjus. But there are some chances that my joining at byjus might not happen. But I'm willing to take the risk as I have heard that culture there in software department is good. And if I join ola I can't go for byjus as notice is of 3 months at ola.
