Would you ever consider moving out of the US to work in a different country?
I am planning to buy flat in india during my india visit early next year. Is one month time enough to complete all necessary work needed to gain legal ownership? I will decide in 1 week which one to buy. Can someone who has experience let me know which step can take time during this process ?
Do you have a broker? Paying all Cash?? If yes should be enough, make sure you give power of attorney to parents so that they can sell it off if need be in your absence
What is your budget? Take 40% black cash for a better deal and 60% online transfer.
It's a 3 step process for good investment 1. Don't buy. 2. Don't buy. 3. Don't buy. Bad investment is 1 step. 1. Go buy it. Source of information: bought 2 sold 2.
A month's time is enough provided it's an all cash deal, but searching for the right apartment is gonna take time. Ensure you have a few sellers lined up before coming, preferably ask maybe your parents to check a few potential ones, it saves time. Also, if you are going to avail a loan, then some paper work needed by the banks will take time if the flat is not already approved for loan earlier. If you pay all cash (if paid as a black amount), there is an additional bargaining leverage you can take
Unless you have made your mind up to buy a flat, there are other avenues to make higher returns than buying a flat right now in India.
This is not for investment reason. Reason is to shift parents there
What other investments are better? From my calculations, paying 20% down payment with 30 years loan and renting out the place is a great investment. Home appreciates Rental income cross EMI payment around 10 year mark After 30 years, home is yours
If the apartment is ready to move and you are paying all cash , then it can be done within a week in most Metro cities. Just make sure you shortlist the properties and do your due diligence about the location and builder first.
Let your parents check out the society first before you buy nah? Resale flats are okay with you renting for a bit before buying.
Check the flat’s horoscope.
P/E (Price to Earnings) ratio of Indian housing is over 100. And you'll get a house that is very low quality, has leakage.
