Are signing bonuses not a thing at Snap? My GF is not getting much traction negotiating her offer. Offer is base $180k, equity $175k/year, level L4 no signing bonus #snap

There is no sign on bonus, you can ask for relocation bonus but it’s only upto $10k
There is a sign on bonus in form of equity lol its just additional equity on top of the initial grant. Btw we dont negotiate. Its take it or leave it
No signing bonus, but you can negotiate more equity that vests within the first year. Sucks here though, I’d reconsider joining unless she has no better options.
Why does it suck? Is it sucking more recently or generally?
Not sure about now, but as of 2 years ago, you can negotiate a sign on in the form of stock that vests after a year. I got about 50k worth (for L5) But I did have a competing offer which had a sign on bonus
