SAP Interview

I had a great interview last Friday for Full Stack Developer position at SAP. I reached out to thank the recruiter and interviewers on Monday for their time, and requested them to let me know about the decision. Its almost a week. Should I consider this as reject or should I wait? Anyone who have interviewed with SAP in the past. How much time do they take to respond back with the decision? ##engineering #software #interview

Just tell them you have a verbal offer and it’ll make them give the decision faster.

Usually hiring manager schedules interview with all prospective candidates over a week or two. If it was your first tech intv, then gove 7-10days, later you will get faster response (wihin 3-5days) once you are shortlisted - for managerial round/ salary neg/offer letter. If it's more than 10days, send follow-up email n mention that you have few competing offers but you are going slow because of sap! Needless to say, sap job opening gets fulfilled in 15-20days - either by predetermined/successful candidate or position getting nullified because of changing business!!

I’ve been involved in hiring for SAP. We can be slow. It’s often not you, it’s just that we might have candidates stretched out over 2-3 weeks. Don’t panic. In my team, we had a couple candidates that we hired literally months after our first conversation.

Yeah that sucks! Its okay to take time, its just that recruiters should respond and let the candidate know that they are still in the game. Bad experience!
